Description of the project:

In Ein El-Helweh the center works since 1998 in community-based rehabilitation, education and empowerment programs.

In 2014, was the opening of three economic empowerment for persons with disabilities:

Project chocolate molding and packaging.

– Project embroidery and handmade carpets.

– Women’s Project hair dresser and women’s accessories.

Besides, the project will continue in the promotion of community-based rehabilitation program in the camp and works on the training of persons with disabilities to self-employment opportunities to enhance their economic independence

Activities of the project:

– Establishing economic empowerment projects

– Professional and managerial training for people with disabilities.

– Providing support and advice for people with disabilities by community-based rehabilitation programs strategy.

– providing of assistive devices and mobility calendar.

– Establishing Workshop molding and decorating chocolate.

– Establishing and embroidery workshop and industry handmade carpets.

– establishing courses and workshops awareness and guidance Weekly.

– Open a salon hair dresser for womens

– Women’s accessories manufacture

Goals of the project:

Assist persons with disabilities to production.

– Promotion of community-based rehabilitation program in the camp.

1200 persons

Results for 3 years:

  1. First Year: 2012

Community Based Rehabilitation:

Training sessions, awareness sessions, empowering persons with disabilities: (500 persons)

  1. Second Year: 2013

Community Based Rehabilitation:

Training sessions, awareness sessions, empowering persons with disabilities: (600 persons)

  1. Third Year : 2014
